In medicine, the term 3D cursor has been used to describe a user’s hands, hand-controllers, a 2D cursor that can travel in 3D space, and a volume-subtending 3D cursor. The term 3D cursor has been used in the computer graphics industry for quite some time however, in recent years, it has also been used in the medical field.
